Dodecanese (Dodekanisa in greek) meaning "twelve islands", but really there are fourteen major islands and three minor islands habitated, and dozens of other islands which are inhabitated, for a total of 163. They are many popular in tourism for his hot climate in summer and his closeness to the Turk coasts (Kastelorizo island is less than 3 Km from Turkey).
